the KEMRI / Wellcome Trust Research Programme has been working in collaboration with the Ministry of Health in health facilities to help develop approaches to optimize use of routine hospital data to improve quality of care for inpatient children and newborns and help create better inpatient data so that it can be used in monitoring quality of care and informing quality improvement initiatives. This project is currently active in 14 public hospitals collectively referred to as the Clinical Information Network (CIN).(Site paediatrician)
