Dr. Mary J Chechieng is a lecturer at Egerton University Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences in the Department of Philosophy, History and Religion. Apart from teaching i also serve as an academic advisor.

  • 2013-2016: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD.) -  Kabarak University, Nakuru, Kenya. Gender History by course work, research and thesis writing. Theses Title: “Tugen Women Participation in Economic Transformation in Baringo County Kenya, 1895-2002”
  • 2005-2010: MA History - Egerton University, Nakuru, Kenya(Gender History). Thesis Title: “The History of Western Education among the Women of Baringo County,1895-1963”
