Following an intensive Peer Counselors training workshop coordinated by the Dean of Students office, 100 peer counsellors and 4 administrative staff members from key service Departments of the Dean of Students and Accommodation departments were finally inaugurated to begin their work.
To promote environmental conservation, Egerton University staff, students and the community, on Saturday 31 July 2021, held a tree planting event at the University's Water Dam site next to University Botanical Garden.
Egerton University on 12 August 2021 marked the International Youth Day, whose theme was "Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health".
One hundred and sixty Agriculture students from the 'ambitious' Karima Girls High School visited Egerton University from 24-26 May 2022 on a learning tour. Five of the teachers accompanying them, including their Deputy Headteacher Josephine Mugwe, were Egerton University Alumni.
