PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The ‘SIM on Wheels’ is a mobile unit for simulation-based training of medical teams that employs advanced simulation-based training modalities that enable health care providers to effectively improve their clinical, communication, organizational and administrative abilities.
The SIM on Wheels project is a partnership between; The Embassy of Israel, Nakuru County Government, Egerton University, Technion ,Centre for Global Engagement(Technion), Israel Institute of Technology and Mashav.
The Co-ordinator for the Israel teams is Prof. Ruti Margalit (Centre for Global Engagement-TECHNION)

ACTIVITIES
The training unit is currently providing faculty development and simulation-based training programs in-situ in peri-urban and rural hospitals in Nakuru County, Kenya; with its first activity being a training in Njoro Subcounty Hospital on July 2021. Training of health workers at Njoro Sub-county Hospital was done, sponsored by Newpoint Hospital. Among those trained were staff from Njoro sub-county hospital, Egerton university Medical Department, and Newpoint Hospital.
